Everything was flawlessly built, so it would be practically impossible for any bugs to get in. This is a huge contrast to almost every single hotel we've stayed at in Vietnam over the last 2 months. Usually you can find plenty of cracks in the walls, gaps in the windows, etc. But not here :) The bathroom was so nice that I would be more than happy to have a bathroom like that in my own house. All basic amenities were there. Drinks in the minibar. Motorbikes for 150K/day. And the staff were extremely helpful - one of the staff members spent over an hour with me figuring out a complicated bus route and I appreciate it so much. We never imagined finding such a top-quality hotel in Soc Trang of all places - pretty far off the beaten path. What a pleasant surprise! Also: some reviews said the hotel is down a dirt path / hard to find. We didn't really find this to be the case. There is a Coop Mart (imagine a Vietnamese Carrefour) 10 mins walk away and you can see the main road from the road that the hotel is on (1 minute walk to the main road). Also, the view from our window was very nice (room 105 I think). Also, a sightseeing tip: there are SO MANY beautiful and unique pagoda complexes in Soc Trang. We saw eleven in about 7 hours and that's not even all the main ones. Just put the word ''chua'' (I think it means God in Vietnamese) in Google Maps, and look through the images to plan out your route. Even the least impressive one looked better than the main one in Saigon. One of them has a giant lying-down lady Buddha that is about 4x larger than the giant Buddha in a main temple in Bangkok. There was almost nobody there at any of the temples. If I was a travel blogger, this is the first place I'd write about.
