Phu Quoc belongs to the one of the most visited islands in southern Vietnam. Phu Quoc Island is changing a lot and it is more popular then ever. Yes, you can find there some beautiful beaches and secluded areas, and you can enjoy beach relax in southern Vietnam. Phu Quoc includes another 21 smaller islands, some of them are also accessible by boat or ferry. The whole archipelago lies in the Gulf of Siam and has an area of about 593 km². Phu Quoc lies in the Gulf of Thailand is about 15 kilometers from Cambodia and 45 kilometers from Vietnam. It is known for its beaches, which are probably the most beautiful in Vietnam, pearl fishing or Nuoc Mam fish sauce production. Lot of tourists visit this island from Ho Chi Minh City (you can take a direct flight – the most fastest option), but lots of travelers take a ferry/boat from Ha Tien or Rach Gia port towns. Ha Tien and Rach Gia are very easily accesible from Ho Chi Minh City, but it takes some time if you travel by bus to these cities, because there is no railway. About 8 hours by tourist bus to Ha Tien and about 6 hours to Rach Gia. There is one way how to get to Phu Quoc from Ha Tien/Rach Gia – by boat/ferry.
